TERMS OF USE 

Where the term "managing company" is mentioned below, it refers to the company “MyThassos P.C.”. 

The managing company's intention is to provide "good faith" information to the public regarding the tourism activities on the island of Thassos, in the context of promoting the tourism product of the island. 

This is addressed on one hand to every entrepreneur who operates or wishes to operate within the geographic boundaries of the island of Thassos, in order to use the application and the corresponding site, for a predetermined fee according to the company's price list and pricing policy, to promote and advertise their business to visitors or potential visitors of Thassos. On the other hand, it is addressed free of charge and without subscription to an indefinite number of anonymous visitors or potential visitors of Thassos who wish to be informed about events on the island. 

Subscription Duration and Termination 

Your subscription to the “MyThassos” application becomes effective upon the completion of the account creation process and your acceptance of the terms of use, and it automatically expires at the end of the last day of the expiry date related to the last subscription renewal. After this date, your subscription will automatically renew, presumed to have your consent and authorization, and you will be charged according to the company's official pricing policy, unless you contact us electronically through the application and the site before the end of your subscription and request the non-renewal and subsequent termination of your subscription. In this case, you will be able to access the application for a short period of one month, but you will not be able to add new data. 

Your existing data will remain in the application's system for a period of one month after the end of your last subscription. During this period, you have the right to renew your subscription at any time and continue to use the application normally. After this one-month period, if you have not renewed your subscription, we reserve the right to permanently delete your account and all stored data. 

Unverified and Fake User Accounts 

We reserve the right to deactivate or delete unverified user accounts, i.e., accounts for which the email verification process has not been completed within 5 days. We also reserve the right to deactivate or immediately delete accounts suspected to have a fake email address. 

Payments 

The subscription renewal cycle for the “MyThassos” application is annual. Subscription costs are available on the application's website at www.mythassos.app. 

The managing company reserves the right to change the cost of these subscriptions or their renewal cycle at any time. If you have renewed a subscription and the cost changes, your subscription will not be affected. The new cost will apply for renewal after the expiration date. 

Payment methods for subscriptions include bank deposit or online payment via Viva. 

User Obligation of Honesty Users must provide complete and accurate information during their registration in the “MyThassos” application and update it promptly when it changes. If we find that a user's information is inaccurate, we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently deactivate the user's account without notice. Users must use the application responsibly and not for illegal purposes or in ways that violate the rights of others. 

Privacy Policy 

We store and maintain the data, documents, and files you enter in your user account on a server located in Greece, operated by a cooperating Greek server provider. We also maintain backups of your account data, documents, and files for a period of 1 month to avoid data loss. This means your data and files remain stored for 1 month after their deletion or the permanent deletion of your account. 

We make every effort to ensure that your personal data, as well as the documents and files you have entered in your account, are not accessible to any unauthorized third party. 

We do not process your account data and do not make it available or transmit it for targeted advertising outside our application and site. 

Your email address is mandatory for completing your account creation and for password recovery if you forget it. We do not share your email address with any third party and use it only to send you critical updates about the application, information about new features and functionalities, and system interaction notifications. 

You have the ability to correct or remove your personal information and data from your account at any time. You also have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all your data at any time. The permanent deletion of your account and data may take up to 24 hours to complete. After deletion, your data remains in backups for 1 month, as mentioned above, until they are permanently deleted. After your deletion, no subscription is refunded or automatically renewed. 

Advertising Responsibility 

The responsibility for any online advertisement, entry, and its depictions lies solely with the respective advertising business, which freely chooses (under the condition of decency) the content of the photographic depictions it will enter descriptively within the framework of the promoted advertisement. 

The managing company reserves the right to block or delete any entry, comment, or photographic depiction of entities or individuals if they, at the managing company's discretion, are contrary to decency, propriety, or law. In this case, any paid subscription will not be refunded. 

Cookies for Advertising 

These cookies collect information over time about your online activity on the app and other online services to make online advertisements more relevant and effective to you. This is known as interest-based advertising. They also perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing and ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers. Without cookies, it’s really hard for an advertiser to reach its audience, or to know how many ads were shown and how many clicks they received. 

Cookies 

myThassos uses "Cookies" to identify the areas of our website that you have visited. A Cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. We use Cookies to enhance the performance and functionality of our app but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality like videos may become unavailable or you would be required to enter your login details every time you visit the app as we would not be able to remember that you had logged in previously. Most web browsers can be set to disable the use of Cookies. However, if you disable Cookies, you may not be able to access functionality on our website correctly or at all. We never place Personally Identifiable Information in Cookies. 

Blocking and disabling cookies and similar technologies 

Wherever you're located you may also set your browser to block cookies and similar technologies, but this action may block our essential cookies and prevent our website from functioning properly, and you may not be able to fully utilize all of its features and services. You should also be aware that you may also lose some saved information (e.g. saved login details, site preferences) if you block cookies on your browser. Different browsers make different controls available to you. Disabling a cookie or category of cookie does not delete the cookie from your browser, you will need to do this yourself from within your browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.

It allows your company to seem like they're “following” people around the internet by serving ads on the websites and platforms they use most.

Facebook pixel is an analytics tool that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your advertising by understanding the actions people take on your website. You can use the pixel to: Make sure your ads are shown to the right people. Facebook pixel may collect information from your device when you use the service. Facebook pixel collects information that is held in accordance with its Privacy Policy 

Tracking Technologies 

-Google Maps API 

Google Maps API is a robust tool that can be used to create a custom map, a searchable map, check-in functions, display live data synching with location, plan routes, or create a mashup just to name a few. 

Google Maps API may collect information from You and from Your Device for security purposes.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction 

This agreement is exclusively governed by Greek law. Competent courts for the resolution of any dispute arising within the scope of the managing company's activities and the application it manages are the Greek courts, specifically the courts of Thassos and further of the Kavala Prefecture. 

Entering, browsing, and using the application requires full and unconditional acceptance of the above terms of use. Otherwise, you are requested, after carefully reading and understanding the terms of use and our privacy policy, to disconnect and consciously refrain from any kind of use and reference. 

The managing company reserves the right to freely modify the terms of use of the application at any time. If any modification is made, you will be informed of this modification via a message within the application and the site upon your first use after the modification. Therefore, regular browsing within the application and our site is required for timely updates. If you do not agree with the modifications, you can terminate the use of the application services and the updates through the site.
