History:
Founded in 1981
In 2001, it was relocated to the renovated mansion of Hatzigeorgis, the first leader of Thassos, a member of the Filiki Eteria and a fighter in the Greek War of Independence (1821)
In 2002, the Cultural Association of Theologos completed the restoration and enriched the collection with donations from locals

Exhibits:
Reconstruction of a traditional Thassian house: includes the main sitting room with fireplace, low table and seating, the couple’s bedroom with bed, chest and woven textiles, as well as rooms for home crafts and weaving with a loom
Tools from traditional professions: farmers, shepherds, fishermen, carpenters, blacksmiths and more
Outdoor space for cultural events, theatrical and musical performances and exhibitions
